Most Severe Heart Attack time is Early Days

News Health Articles - Most Severe Heart Attack time is Early Days. The severity of a heart attack can be influenced by the timing of the attack. Recent research found that early morning is the time at which heart attacks have an impact on the most dangerous for the heart.

Analysis of data from more than 1,000 heart attack patients showed that the largest number of cardiac injury occurred at 01:00 to 05:00 in the morning. The number of peak damage occurs at that time 82 per cent more powerful than any other time.

Research published in the journal Circulation Research is expected to help find new ways to prevent heart attacks. The study was based on previous studies conducted in rodents.

"We tried to ascertain whether the heart attack that occurs affects the amount of heart damage, or is this just a phenomenon that occurs in rodents," said study author, Dr.. Jay Traverse, a cardiologist at the Minneapolis Heart Institute.

"The ability of the heart to protect itself from severe damage varies for 24 hours. Recognizing these changes will be very useful protection for pharmaceutical manufacturers are trying to develop drugs to melindfungi heart," said Traverse as reported by HealthDay, Tuesday (29/11/2011).

There are different phases when sleeping in the morning, the phase of sleep called rapid eye movement (Rapid Eye Movement or REM) during the dream. The body is asleep but the mind awake. The autonomic nervous system is stimulated to release hormones such as adrenaline, noradrenaline and cortisol.

"This hormone is increased if the heart beats harder. But these hormones constrict the blood supply to the heart," said Dr.. Ramakant Panda, cardiac surgeon at Escorts Heart Institute.
