Disgusted Sense Protect Human of Deadly Infections

Not excessively long, disgust may be a natural protection mechanism for human health. In fact, a variety of deadly infections are transmitted through the objects that most people considered to be disgusting.

When a person feels disgust, that person will instinctively stay away from objects which he considered disgusting. Triggers of disgust vary in each individual, but in general is something that was indeed dangerous goods ranging from dirty to insects.

In relation to infectious diseases, in general, the germs are found on objects that are considered abhorrent by most people. For example in dirty water, Daha, snot, semen and body fluids in both humans and animals.



According to a psychologist in the UK, will take away a person's disgust sense  from the sources of the disease. If already in contact, instinctively people will rid itself of impurities that for example by washing your hands immediately.

"Without any sense of disgust and hygiene behaviors, a variety of infectious diseases will be rampant and lead to many deaths," said Dr. Val Curtis, a psychologist at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, as quoted by the BBC, Wednesday (11/02/2011).

In a publication in the journal Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society B, Dr Curtis said there are several types of deadly infection easily transmitted through objects disgusting. Among these are as follows.

1. Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)
Transmitted through mucus and sexual fluids, other body fluids such as blood.

2. Infections trigger diarrhea
Transmitted through feces, dirty water, contaminated food, vomit.

3. Hepatitis
Transmitted through feces, dirty water, contaminated food, vomit.

4. Leprosy or leprosy
Transmitted via ulcers or sores on the skin, respiratory mucus (sputum or nasal mucus).

5. Measles
Transmitted through skin rash, ulceration and respiratory mucus.

6. Plague
Transmitted through the skin blisters and ulcers, rats, lice.

7. Rabies
Transmitted through saliva dogs, bats.

8. Syphilis
Transmitted through a rash, skin lesions, especially in the genital skin

9. TB
Transmitted through the nasal mucus, sputum stains, stale air and moisture.
