For people who are religious and believe that the Creator's intervention helped determine the success of his diet, prayer would be very effective in improving chances of success of the diet. In every prayer, always religious words that remind people that the Great Creator.
This is demonstrated in an experiment at the University of Waterloo, Canada. The study involving 535 students this proves, various forms of religious words can remind someone on the Creator and helped determine the success of the diet.
Through an interview session, students who become participants in this experiment were divided into 2 groups based on their beliefs. The first group believes in divine intervention while the second group do not believe so.
All the participants then conditioned to always listen to religious words, which reminded him of the God. In addition to preparing the sentences are believed to be prayer, the participants also played short quotations about religion.
In the group who believe in divine intervention, religious words either in the form of prayer or spiritual message excerpts shown to increase motivation and make dieting so much appetite control. When quotations are played messages not related to religion, appetite returned to normal.
However, this effect was not observed in the group of participants who do not believe in divine intervention in his diet. As quoted from Dailymail, Monday (10/31/2011), participants who do not believe do not have extra motivation as well as groups that believe when reminded of the God.
