First Brain Hospital Built in East Jakarta

Various cases of brain disorders continue to rise but until now no special hospital that is able to handle it in an integrated manner. Ministry of Health is now working on the construction of specialty brain hospitals the first time Indonesia.

National Brain Hospital Center (RS PON) was built in the area of ​​Jl MT Haryono, Village Cawang, Kramat Jati subdistrict, East Jakarta, right next to the building of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN). RS Development PON over an area of ​​1.1 hectares or 11,000 m2 and it will take 12 months and is estimated to have started to be operational in 2013. The total area of ​​32,000 m2 of the building is planned, consisting of 12 floors with a capacity of 390-445 beds, 220 of whom are less able to group or class 3.

Cerebrovascular spinal trauma care center integrated

Integrated neuro-oncology Service Center, and
Neuroscience research (basic and clinical).

The existence of a special hospital brain is certainly not enough if only in Jakarta, because an increasing number of cases of brain disorders, especially stroke also occurred in other areas. The city plans to develop other similar hospitals, among others, Makassar, Medan, Surabaya and Yogyakarta.
