1. Schizophrenia can be treated
With antipsychotic drugs, schizophrenia symptoms such as agitation and hallucinations usually disappear within a few days, and symptoms such as delusions usually disappear within a few weeks. After about 6 weeks, many people will see much improvement
2. Positive symptoms of schizophrenia can show
Postitive symptoms such as halucinations, delucions, thought disorders and movement disorders are psychotic behaviors which not seen in healthy people. People with positive symptoms often lose touch with reality. These symptoms can come and go.
3. Schizophrenia is not synonymous with violence
In fact, the most violent crime are not committed by people with schizophrenia.
4. High suicide risk
About 10 percent of people with schizophrenia die by suicide, especially in young men. It is difficult to predict which people with schizophrenia are more likely to commit suicide.
5. Schizophrenia Symptoms like drug addiction symptoms
Some people who do abuse drugs show symptoms similar to schizophrenia. Therefore, the detection of people with schizophrenia may be mistaken by people with abuse drugs.
