Men Often Wrong Reading Women's Sexual Cues

News Health Articles - Men Often Wrong Reading Women's Sexual Cues. Men often have difficulty in reading the level of interest of women to themselves accurately. For many women who engaged in the world dating, certain types of men tend to think that all women want him, while other men just could not catch the hint of her interest in women.

This study involves students consisting of 96 men and 103 women in the U.S.. They participated in exercises that were given the theme of 'quick meeting' with the way each participant to speak for three minutes with five persons of the opposite sex.

Before exercise, the participants rated their own attractiveness and assess its desire to conduct short-term sexual relationship. After finishing the conversation, participants rated speaking friends with a number of measures, including physical attraction and sexual attraction is felt.

The study, published in the journal Psychological Science found that:

1. Men who want a short-term sexual relationships were more likely to overestimate women's interest against him.

2. Men who feel that they are 'hot' also thought the women appeal to him, but people are actually considered attractive by women do not think so.

3. The more attractive a woman for a man, the more likely the men overestimate women's interest against him.

4. Women tend to underestimate the attraction of men against him.

"There are two common mistakes made man. First, he thought, 'Wow, that woman is really interested in me', and it turns out he did not. There are some disadvantages to it, such a shame," said the researcher, Carin Perilloux , a psychologist at Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts.

"Another mistake is the man failed to realize that the woman was interested in him. He lost his chance, and it's a big mistake for reproductive success," said Perilloux as reported by HealthDay, Monday (12/19/2011).

According to the principle of human evolution, men who take excessive interest in women against them and chase women even with the risk of rejection is more likely to successfully reproduce and down this trait to their offspring.
