"There seems to be a very free approach to consideration of cesarean section in twins that has evolved over the last decade. "In such cases, there is no evidence that delivery by cesarean section brings benefits both to mother or baby," said Landon.

The results of these studies have been published in Obstetrics & Gynecology.

The findings are in line with other recent research that shows that, the rate of delivery by cesarean section for all infants, not only of twins has risen sharply. Now the total of the birth process a baby by cesarean section were approximately one-third of all births in the United States.

Researchers have discovered the reason why this could occur. Some researchers argue that obstetricians may give up on the normal birth process and switch to using the process of childbirth by cesarean section.
