The Pregnant Mother Courage Not Normal If the baby Twins Born

Childbirth one child, many pregnant women who choose caesarean. Selection of caesarean section increased if the expectant mother is pregnant with twins. Increasingly rare to find women who conceive twins had a normal delivery despite good condition.

Many mothers who choose delivery by caesarean section, but the truth may be born with normal birth process. Especially when having twins, probably many women who think it would be safer if giving birth by cesarean section.

According to a new study, the proportion of twins who were born by caesarean section in the United States has jumped dramatically since the mid 1990s. Although sometimes the baby or other birth complications made a caesarean necessary.

But the California researchers reported that a relatively large increase in caesarean section in the practice seen in healthy mothers and babies, who have a good position to be born normally.

"There seems to be a very free approach to consideration of cesarean section in twins that has evolved over the last decade. The number is pretty drastic because of the fact now that three-quarters of twins underwent a caesarean birth process," said Dr.. Mark Landon, chief of obstetrics and gynecology at Ohio State University, Columbus as reported from HealthNews, Tuesday (01/11/2011).

Cesarean section in twins 75 percent recorded in 2008, which increased about 53 percent in 1995. And it has continued to increase as much as 5 percent each year.

Perhaps the increased caesarean section because it is becoming a trend, not because of increased complications of childbirth. Even in healthy women with the lowest risk of complications of labor, cesarean section increased number of one-third of births.

"In such cases, there is no evidence that delivery by cesarean section brings benefits both to mother or baby," said Landon.

The results of these studies have been published in Obstetrics & Gynecology.

The findings are in line with other recent research that shows that, the rate of delivery by cesarean section for all infants, not only of twins has risen sharply. Now the total of the birth process a baby by cesarean section were approximately one-third of all births in the United States.

Researchers have discovered the reason why this could occur. Some researchers argue that obstetricians may give up on the normal birth process and switch to using the process of childbirth by cesarean section.

In addition, a growing number of women who ask for the delivery by cesarean section so that they can have greater control over their baby's birth.

During a cesarean section is considered to have a risk who childbirth safer for babies than the normal birth process. But delivery by cesarean section have an increased risk of bleeding and infection in the mother, as well as injury to the bowel and bladder.

The procedure is also a cesarean section should allow inpatient in the hospital longer and more expensive prices for deliveries. Thus causing the total cost of labor is more expensive than the normal birth process.

Need to consider very carefully when it will decide to give birth by caesarean section or normal birth process.

"We know that occasionally caesarean procedures will be in accordance with the conditions of the case and will be beneficial. But in some cases there is no apparent reason for the caesarean procedure and it can potentially cause problems for mother or baby. And an increase in labor with twins caesarean section, not all can be explained by medical reasons, "said Dr.. Henry Lee of the University of California, San Francisco.
