Veronica Buttigieg offered to donate his kidney just a few minutes after meeting with Manoly Viravong (45 years) at an event. Viravong itself has been waiting for 5 years to get a kidney donor.



Initially Viravong just normal conversation with Buttigie and her husband Mario, until he told a waiting condition for 5 years even though the donor before the younger brother of Viravong has agreed to be donors but cancel on last-minute.

"I felt he was desperate, and then suddenly I thought why not I who helped him. And I felt it was like a destiny," said Buttigieg, as quoted by the Telegraph, Friday (12/30/2011).

Buttigieg serangakain had to undergo tests until finally the doctor gives the result that he could become a living donor for Viravong. The procedure of the donor kidney to Viravong Buttigieg took place in July 2011 at the Royal London Hospital and running smoothly.

After surgery, Buttigieg spent several weeks at home to recover his condition and now he is back healthy and able to work as before at Basildon Hospital.

"My life has not changed or become worse than before, but they certainly Viravong life has now changed for the better," he said.

Buttigieg said he was happy to do that, because he thinks Viravong is a mother and how if it happened to him or his brother.

Viravong diagnosed as having chronic kidney disease when she gave birth to her first child 18 years ago. Originally owned by the kidney can still function about 50 percent, but gradually worsened until he started doing dialysis (dialysis) and entered in the kidney transplant list.

"Now I no longer need a new kidney dialysis and also reacted well in my body. Now for the first time I was able to travel long distances to return home in Leigh," said Viravong.
