Musicians Died Young, Not Always 27 Years

News Health Articles - Many Musicians Died Young, But Not Always 27 Years. History records many famous musicians died at the age of 27 years, so there is a myth 'club-27'. Many musicians who died young was proved correct, but there is no tendency that the death was most frequent in the age of 27 years.

Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain, Jimi Hendrix and the latest Amy Winehouse are just a few of the many famous musicians who died at the age of 27 years. The myth that developed was mentioned, most musicians who died young died at that age.

A study at Queensland University show that some of these myths is trustworthy. Based on the observations of 1046's most popular young musicians in the UK between the years 1956-2007, about 7 percent are dying at a young age.

That observations show, the musician's 20-year-old and 30-year risk of death compared to 2-fold risk of death in the British population in general. This proves that the myth of musicians tend to die young is true.

But seen from his age, the age of 27 years of age is not the most marked the end of the journey of life of the musicians who died young. There is no particular age that is more dominant, the researchers say the comparison evenly across all ages between 20s to 30s.

Trends in age at death of the young musicians was more influenced by the type of music that were dominant at that time. As quoted by ABC News, Thursday (12/22/2011), musicians who died young in the 1970s, when the much-loved rock music, much higher than the era of the 1980s that a transition to pop music.

Type of music that is popular is not directly associated with mortality rates of the musicians at a young age. Allegedly only by chance in the 1980's handling of cases of drug overdose is the cause of most musicians who died young, was much better.
