Palifermin, Reduce Side Effects of Cancer Treatment

Description

Palifermin is used to help prevent or reduce some side effects caused by other drugs or radiation therapy in cancer treatment. These drugs are only available by prescription. This product is available in the following dosage form powder for injection solution

dose

Adults: 60 mg per square meter of body surface area, injected into a vein for 3 consecutive days before and after myelotoxic therapy for a total of 6 doses.
Children: Dose and usage should be determined by your doctor.



Side Effects

  1. blurred vision
  2. Skin burning, itching, numbness, prickling needles, or tingling feeling
  3. difficult to move
  4. dizziness
  5. Increased serum amylase
  6. Increased serum lipase
  7. fever
  8. Redness of the skin
  9. Increased sensitivity to pain
  10. Increased sensitivity to touch
  11. Muscle pain or stiffness
  12. nervous
  13. painful
  14. Pain in joints
  15. rash
  16. Slow or fast heartbeat
  17. swelling
  18. Thickened tongue
  19. The skin was warm
