4 Objects Most Dirty in Bathroom

A team led by Charles P. Gerba, professor of microbiology at the University of Arizona, Tucson, released a list of the most and dirty dangerous thing in the bathroom, where most of the harmful bacteria alive.

Here are four things most dirty and dangerous in the bathroom, as reported by Geniusbeauty, Tuesday (01/11/2011), namely:


1. faucet
The experts consider to be the dirtiest water faucet in the bathroom first. Research shows that tap water is often a nest of bacteria. In fact, the contact that occurs constantly with the hands coupled with high humidity, making tap water as a perfect breeding ground for superbugs MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus), which causes skin infections.

2. bath towels
A moist environment is the perfect habitat for the bacterium E. coli, which causes abdominal pain and vomiting. To avoid disease, you need to wash towels at least once in 3 days.

3. toilet seats
The experts advise to close the toilet before you flush the toilet water. If not, microscopic droplets of contaminated water will spray around the toilet seat and affect your personal hygiene, which then can be a source of disease.

4. toothbrush
Prof. Gerba stated there are many bacteria on your toothbrush, but this is a private micro-organisms that are not harmful to your health. The only requirement is to keep the toothbrush apart from the others and replace them regularly.
