why dandruff make scalp itch?

Dandruff including scalp problems are quite disturbing. Besides it can make people ashamed, dandruff can also cause itching in the head. What causes it?

The problem usually appears as dandruff scales which can cause white flakes that fall into the clothing if carded and cause itching of the scalp is quite disturbing.
