No need to do heavy exercise much less expensive, the risk of cancer can be prevented only by a simple physical activity such as walking. Although trivial, this activity can reduce cancer risk particularly in colon and breast.

Several studies have proven, highly aerobic activities that help prevent cancer, especially for those who do have risk factors. One of aerobic activity that is most easily done on foot.



"You do not have to be a marathon runner. But indeed, the more you exercise the more benefits that can be obtained," said Dr. Jeffrey Meyerhardt, cancer experts from the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute as quoted by UPI, Friday (30/12/2011 ).

Dr. Meyerhardt who was a gastrointestinal cancer specialist says, walking is the easiest sport because it can be done while leaving for work. The way is to walk faster than normal, then the benefit is going to grow.

If you still have time and extra energy, exercise can be increased to more serious that more and more benefits. For example, by running on the treadmill or bike around town and use the stationary bike while watching television.

Meanwhile, a nutritionist from the Dana-Farber, Stephanie Meyers added that the risk of cancer can also be prevented by reducing consumption of refined sugar. Replace them with complex carbohydrates and increase the fruits or vegetables that contain fiber will help prevent cancer.

"Reducing the sugar, red meat and high calorie foods, and increase the fruits and colorful vegetables that are rich in antioxidants is the simplest way to keep the weight away from the risk of cancer in the digestive tract," said Meyers.
