A study led by researcher Richard Harris of the University of Michigan that stimulation of specific points on the body can increase alertness and reduce fatigue.
Here are 4 Ways to Make Active Brain in Morning, as quoted from Livestrong, Tuesday (12/27/2011), namely:
1. Have a good sleep pattern
Try to go and wake up at the same time each day. Besides forming a relaxing routine before bed can also be helpful as a warm bath, brush teeth, read books and sleep in a dark room and calm.
2. Move the toes in all directions
Move the toes in all directions before getting out of bed in the morning, for example up and down and then move the big toe. This helps activate the nerves that stimulate the brain and brain activity. As well as improving balance and coordination.
3. Take a walk in the morning
Walking can increase heart rate, respiratory rate and increase blood circulation thus providing more oxygen and nutrient-rich blood flow to the brain.
This is because when walking, the foot does not require a source of oxygen and nutrients as well as many other activities that are heavy, thus increasing energy production and cellular waste that accumulates in brain cells.
4. Stimulate acupressure points on the body 5
Start with light pressure on the crown of the head, then press the thumb side facing the index finger, press the bottom of the kneecap on the outside surface of Tabia, which is a large leg bone.
Then the movement of the ankle and toes to the bottom of your foot and massaging the bottom of the start curve, and finally giving a bit of pressure on both sides of the upper spine attached to the base of the skull.
