Wash hand before hold baby

the newly born baby usually do not have a good immune system. Parents or guests who visit should wash their hands first before holding the baby.

Hand washing is the best way to prevent the spread of disease. This also applies to protect newborns, because newborns belonging to the groups most at risk for infection.

Researchers from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health found that the risk of death among infants born in rural Nepal decreased by 44 percent after a midwife or a person who helped give birth to wash his hands before the delivery process, as well as mothers who wash their hands before holding baby.

Washing hands is also important to do before parents give the baby to eat, after changing diapers and after using the bathroom. This also applies to all other family members including children who are older or grandparents.

Quoted from Babycenter, Friday (10/19/2011) parents should act decisively against the visiting guests to ask him to wash their hands first before holding the baby.

However this is not easy, some guests sometimes think do not need to do it because he was not sick. And germs can still spread though the person does not show signs of illness.

Infants younger than six months require a longer time to form a strong immune system, so that could make him avoid the disease.

Because it could not hurt to ask the people who show symptoms of runny nose, coughing, sneezing or fever to not be too close to the baby and wash their hands more often.

Also try to avoid the crowd or the crowd if you want to bring the child for a walk, because it would increase the risk of infant infection.
