News Health Articles - Trapped by Snow 3 Days Without Food and Survive with Beer. A man stuck in snow for 3 days, without food or cellular networks to ask for help. Luckily he had a few beers that started to freeze, so it can survive until someone came to help him.

Cliftol Vial (52 years), an operator mechanic originally just for fun driving a pickup truck outside the city alone at Nome in Alaska. He just wondered how far the paths between cities to the north will bring adventure.

Unfortunately, in the middle of a blizzard trapped Vial trip and the car was stuck. With only modest equipment, he tried to remove his tires are buried in mounds of snow, but in vain because the mound was too thick.

Air temperatures reaching -17 degrees Celsius, the more difficult Vial, who was wearing only tennis shoes, jeans and jackets cheap. Luckily in the trunk there is a towel and sleeping bag (sleeping bag) which is then worn to wrap the foot so as not to freeze.

Vial had thought to ask for help, but unfortunately in a location that is expected within 64 miles of Nome City was no cell phone signal. Expect a family member who is also useless to look for it, because his family was not home.

Luckily he remembered one thing, there are a few cans of beer that is stored in the trunk. The beer starts to freeze it opened with a knife, and then he ate to survive for almost 60 hours, or about 3 days and 3 nights trapped in a blizzard.

"I nearly froze until I found it (beer cans) in there. I open the lid with a knife, and then I eat chunks of beer into ice," Vial said as quoted by the Anchorage Daily News, Monday (5/12/2011) .

The new relief comes when the company where she worked, Nome Joint Utility System became suspicious. In his office, Vial famous discipline and never too late so that his boss was sure something was wrong if he does not come to work.

"Vial is a very appropriate time employees. On Tuesday at 4 pm, we make sure there must be something wrong," said John Handeland, General Manager of Nome Joint Utility System which is superior Vial.

Departure from the suspicion that, Handeland contacted the fire department and several volunteer organizations to work together to find Vial. Shortly thereafter, Vials found in the condition began hallucinating and losing weight 7.25 kg with cold.

Normally, a beer does not replace the daily diet. However, in cold conditions and no food as experienced Vial, sugar content and alcohol seem to be able to supply enough calories to simply warm the body so it does not freeze to death.
