Sleeping with Mother Until Age 3 Years Good for Heart Children

In the first 3 years had a child a mother is more advisable to sleep with her baby. According to the study, children who slept dikeloni mother until the age of 3 years tend to have a healthier heart.

Recommendation was presented by Dr Nils Bergman, a pediatrician from the University of Cape Torn in South Africa. Dr. Bergman is also known as one of the pioneers of the movement of Kangaroo Mother Care, which stresses the importance of physical contact between mother and child.

In one study, Dr. Bergman studied 16 infants to their respective 3-year-old. When growing up, the babies who share a bed with his mother tended to have heart healthier than babies who sleep in separate beds.
Not only that, the baby is put to sleep in separate beds tend to have damage in the brain that trigger behavioral disturbances when entering their teens. His influence in the brain one of them looked at sleep patterns of disturbance, ie less likely to never sleep.

Various studies have shown, good sleep patterns are not closely related to heart health. When a person is never able to sleep well, then the heart will work harder so long may experience stress.

Nevertheless, the suggestion of Dr. Bergman to abyi child to sleep with his mother until the age of 3 years is believed to be sparked controversy. Not because his father would feel jealous, but associated with previous studies that actually recommends that babies sleep in separate beds.

Research conducted in England a few years ago it shows, 2 of 3 infant deaths occur when sleeping with their parents. The results were the basis for some experts, to recommend that a baby does not dikeloni so as not to choke.

But Dr. Berman insisted that the baby should still sleeping with his mother, because physical contact between mother and child is good for the heart. Associated with infant mortality as dikeloni, he argued that death was not directly triggered by the mother.

"When there's a baby choking or shortness of breath when sleept, mostly because his mother was not there. Could be due to other factors such as toxic fumes, cigarettes, alcohol or large cushions that often smothered the airway," said Dr. Bergman was quoted as saying by the Telegraph, Saturday (10/29/2011).
